OUR FORGED IRONS ARE DESIGNED and MANUFACTURED FROM THE GROUND UP. PROPER BOUNCE AND SOLE CONFIGURATION MAKES OUR IRONS PERFORM WHERE IT MATTERS MOST; AT IMPACT.

Bounce should not stop at your wedges. That is why we created our Forged Irons with an emphasis on the sole and how your club interacts with the turf. With proper bounce you are able to get through the turf more efficiently for longer and straighter shots.

BOUNCE AND GRIND TECHNOLOGY

Focusing on the interaction the iron has with the turf; we have created a classic looking iron with the modern bounce and sole configuration to match your swing. The role of this bounce is to offset a golfers forward shaft lean and the angle of attack at impact to minimize the effects of soil and turf conditions. Having the optimal bounce angle on your irons will result in less face twisting through impact, faster and more consistent clubhead speeds, better feel, and consistent control of distances; drastically improving your game. All Edel Forged Irons are Hand-Ground to specific weight, grind, bounce, and sole-width, in our workshop in Liberty Hill, TX.

Grinds

Trapper

A C-SHAPED Grind with medium bounce; this grind is optimal for golfers with a shallow to moderate angle of attack with a small divot.

Driver

A V-SHAPED Grind with medium-high bounce; this grind is optimal for golfers with a moderate to steep angle of attack with a larger divot.

Technology

Shortened Hosel

To obtain an ideal center of gravity in our irons we need to move some weight around. We have shortened the length of the hosel to move that weight towards the toe to obtain a center-of- gravity that is in the true center of the face; at the SWEET SPOT.

Rounded SOle

A slightly rounded sole allows the club face to sit close to the ground while maintaining the proper bounce angle. As the clubhead moves through the turf at impact this rounded sole will decrease the amount of face twisting and hesitation a clubhead has at impact.

CNC Machined Precision

We CNC machine our Face, Grooves, and Cavity for precise control of these important design aspects of a golf club. Our cavities are CNC machined at progressively varying depths to allow for a thicker face in your scoring irons for better feel and a thinner face in your longer irons for forgiveness and improved ball speed.

Custom Fitting

We have created one of the most comprehensive iron fitting processes in the golf industry for our highly skilled and trained Certified Fitters to find the best possible irons for your game. Using a combination of grinds and sole options; along with our proprietary zero-obstruction hosel adapter we can interchange over 30 shafts in various lengths into each grind to determine your optimal iron specifications. We also have multiple loft options, lie options and lie angle options to make you are being fit with an iron that will be made to match the same specifications.

During the process our Certified Fitters will make the following evaluations to make sure you will have the best possible custom-fit irons to improve your game.

  • Angle-of-Attack
  • Shaft Lean at impact
  • Launch Angle
  • Divot Pattern
  • Desired Spin
  • Swing-Weight
  • Complete set makeup
  • Loft gaps
  • Typical shot types
  • Length and Lie
  • Typical playing conditions

At Edel Golf we pride ourselves on the development of our fitting system to find you the perfect set of irons. Constantly innovating our process and continuing to educate our Certified Fitters allows us to trust that we are making you irons that will stay in your bag for seasons to come.
